Started in 2019 by Prameet Dhaliwal after one too many family stories about girls being told "no" to school. We're here to flip that, making sure young women everywhere actually get the education, mentors and community they deserve.

A founder's story.
The inspiration behind Girls in Movement came from a deeply personal place. My grandmother once confided in me that she had to stop her education to get married, even though she dreamed of becoming a teacher. Her story ignited a passion in me to ensure that no girl has to give up her dreams due to lack of access to education.
In 2019, I founded Girls in Movement to help young children across the globe access education as a fundamental right. Our mission is to break down barriers and create opportunities for girls to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.
