Founded in 2019 by Prameet Dhaliwal, Girls in Movement is dedicated to ensuring that all young girls have access to the fundamental right of education. Inspired by the experiences of many family members who were denied education simply because they were girls, Prameet initiated this movement to break barriers.

A founder's story.
The inspiration behind Girls in Movement came from a deeply personal place. My grandmother once confided in me that she had to stop her education to get married, even though she dreamed of becoming a teacher. Her story ignited a passion in me to ensure that no girl has to give up her dreams due to lack of access to education.
In 2019, I founded Girls in Movement to help young children across the globe access education as a fundamental right. Our mission is to break down barriers and create opportunities for girls to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.
