Girls in Movement

About Us

What is Girls in Movement?

Girls in Movement began with a conversation with my grandma. She told me she had always dreamed of becoming a teacher, but the opportunity never came and she had to start her family at a young age. Years later, after visiting village schools, I realised that for many young girls, little had changed.

Girls in Movement exists to change that. We’re building a global movement where girls are equipped to lead – through education, storytelling, sisterhood, and real-world tools to spark change in their communities and beyond. We’re here to build the next generation of leaders.

Our Vision

A world where girls have equal access to education and are empowered to shape their futures — free from limitations, inequality, or silence.

Our Mission

To ensure that every girl, everywhere, has the opportunity to learn, lead, and thrive by providing access to education, resources, and support.

Our History

Founded in 2019, Girls in Movement was born from a story of lost potential and a passion to change the narrative for girls around the globe.
